Stone resin bathtubs

Stone resin (also called solid surface) is crushed natural stone bound with resin and cast into one solid piece. The result is a tub with a soft matte finish, real weight and thick walls that keep bath water warm for a long, slow soak.

Because the colour runs all the way through, light scratches and stains can usually be buffed out rather than lived with. Plan for the weight: these tubs are heavy even when empty.

How heavy is a stone resin tub?

Much heavier than acrylic. Check the weight on each listing and make sure you have enough people for delivery, a clear path into the bathroom and a floor that can carry the tub once it's full.

Does stone resin stay warm?

Yes. Thick solid walls hold heat well, which is the main reason people choose stone resin for long soaks.

Can scratches be repaired?
